Here at TNCC, we love the children that God has blessed us with. True North Kids seeks to convey the truths of God in a fun and age-appropriate manner.
Our children are divided into three classes:
Nursery (infant - 2 years)
Preschool (3-4 years)
Elementary (Kinder-5th grade)
At TNCC, we believe that God loves and desires relationship with every person from every culture as defined within the great commission (Matthew 28:16-20). We as a church value missions and the people they reach because we know how much God loves the world (John 3:16). In an effort to put action to our words, we have committed to give 10% of every dollar donated to TNCC back into the mission field. We will support local missions that have an impact in our community as well as supporting like-minded foreign missions and missionaries.
The love of Christ compels His followers to introduce others to Him. As Creator God, Jesus loves those He's made. It's not a general or generic love; it's personal - and it's lavished upon you! There is a void in each of our lives that only Jesus Christ can fill, and once He has filled it, how can we hold it in? Look around you - the world speaks of loneliness and isolation...of “being alone in a crowd”. But Jesus says, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matt 11:28, 29) C.S. Lewis said, “Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay. But look for Christ, and you will find Him, and with Him everything else thrown in.” This is why we exist.

Jesus told His followers to go and make disciples. We believe this command is just as much for the church today as when Jesus spoke it over 2,000 years ago. We are a ministry devoted to creating disciples through a process of intentional discipleship. This can look like mentoring, small groups or any number of ways of intentional investing in one another. Our model of discipleship is Jesus and therefore Biblical, the world doesn't hold the answers to our true needs only God and His word do. We believe that followers of Christ never cease to be discipled or to disciple others. Therefore we desire to intentionally encourage people to be discipled. We will endeavor to provide a number of discipleship opportunities for new believers as well as mature believers as we all desire to mature in Christ.
The worship ministry of TNCC exists to lead our church, through the help of the Holy Spirit, to magnify the worth of God and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. We do this by combining biblical truth with music, prayer and other elements, in order to motivate the gathered church to join us in proclaiming and treasuring the truth about God. Worship is our response to who God is and what He has done; the worship ministry strives to display as clearly as possible, the truth and grace of the gospel of Christ, assigning the worth to God that belongs to Him, and inviting others to join us in responding to God in worship to bring glory to His name. We remind ourselves who we know God to be from His Word, and what He has done by rescuing us from our sin and reconciling us back to Himself. We worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24); we come as we are to God, authentic and broken and in need of Him, with an accurate view of Him which comes through the Word of God. We strive to keep our worship Christ-centered, Gospel-centric, and scripture-based. We aim to nurture a body of believers who seek to live all of life for the glory and worship of God.
The Community Buiding ministry of TNCC was born of a desire to demonstrate Christ's love through the development of more meaningful and lasting connections. In 1 Peter 1:22-23 it says, “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth, through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again... through the word of God which lives and abides forever.” At True North, we aim to lay a foundation of Biblical truth that produces unity and a natural outpouring of Christ's love in us.
Within the church - We are here to foster community within the church body and create unity, both in our relationships with each other and also with God. Our goal is to help get people plugged into the church, grow in their love for one another, experience a common sense of purpose and to know and feel that they belong here.
With other churches and ministries - God moves in powerful ways when members of His body work together for a common purpose. We wish to practice 'sincere love of the brethren' beyond our own walls by fostering relationships with other like-minded brothers and sisters in our area. In partnering with other Christian groups for outreach projects, fellowship, and teaching events, we believe northern Utah can be a place where God's kingdom is a very visible and vital presence in the community
We believe that the church's success hinges on how well we train and equip the next generation. We, at TNCC, know that God loves the next generation and has great plans for them. Our goal is to equip our youth, and send them into the world as representatives of the Living God. We will do this by training them to be voices of grace and truth in their schools, families and workplaces.
God tells the prophet Hosea in Hosea 4:6a “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” Here at True North Community Church we are committed to the study of the Bible, the creating of a Christian worldview and engaging the world around us whole-heartedly. We don’t view the study of God’s word as a passionless obligation but as a dynamic endeavor that we are privileged to engage in. We firmly believe that the study of God’s Word and the indwelling Spirit of God change us as nothing else can. It is our hope that you will join us on this journey of knowing God more intimately as we study together.
